ChatGPT

Create a custom MCP app and connect it with OAuth.

Web

Open Settings > Apps > Advanced settings and enable Developer mode. Workspace admins can also begin from Workspace settings > Apps > Create.
Select Create, name the app Tonnel Marketplace, and paste https://mcp.tonnel.network/mcp as the MCP endpoint.
Choose OAuth authentication, select Scan tools, then sign in to Tonnel and review the requested permissions.
Create or publish the app. In a new chat, select Tonnel from Apps when you want ChatGPT to use marketplace tools.

Plan note: OpenAI currently documents full MCP write actions for Business and Enterprise/Edu. Pro can connect custom apps with read/fetch permissions, but write actions may not be available.

Claude

Add Tonnel as a remote custom connector.

Web and Desktop

Open Customize > Connectors. On Team or Enterprise, an Owner must first add it under Organization settings.
Select +, then Add custom connector. Enter Tonnel Marketplace and paste https://mcp.tonnel.network/mcp.
Select Add, then Connect. Complete the Tonnel OAuth sign-in and review the permissions.
In chat, use + > Connectors to enable Tonnel for the conversation.

Cursor

Add a global Streamable HTTP server with OAuth.

Desktop

Open Cursor settings and find Tools & MCP, or open the global configuration at ~/.cursor/mcp.json.
Add the configuration below and save the file.
Start the Tonnel server from MCP settings. Cursor should open a browser for OAuth sign-in.
Check Available Tools and enable the Tonnel tools you want Cursor Agent to use.

VS Code

Connect through GitHub Copilot Chat using Streamable HTTP.

Desktop

Open the Command Palette and run MCP: Add Server.
Choose HTTP, enter https://mcp.tonnel.network/mcp, and select a global or workspace configuration.
Start the server and complete the OAuth sign-in when the browser opens.
Open Chat, select Configure Tools, and enable the Tonnel tools you need.

Other MCP clients

Use the standard remote endpoint when your client supports Streamable HTTP and OAuth.

MCP standard

Add a new remote MCP server and select Streamable HTTP or HTTP transport.
Use https://mcp.tonnel.network/mcp. Do not use the site root URL.
Choose OAuth or automatic authentication. Tonnel supports OAuth discovery, PKCE, Dynamic Client Registration, refresh tokens, and protected-resource metadata.
Complete sign-in, review permissions, then confirm that the client discovers Tonnel tools.

Clients without remote OAuth support cannot connect directly to this hosted server.

Test the connection

Start with a read request. For account changes, ask the client to prepare the action and wait for your confirmation.

No action tools?

Reconnect the server, refresh its tool list, and start a new conversation. ChatGPT workspaces may need an admin to refresh and approve changed actions.

Only read access in ChatGPT?

Your plan may not support full MCP write actions. OpenAI currently documents full write support for Business and Enterprise/Edu.

Authentication loops?

Remove the connection from the client, add the exact /mcp endpoint again, and complete the new OAuth flow.

Before executing actions

Tonnel prepares a short-lived intent first. Verify the item, price, fees, and recipient before sending the exact confirmation.
